HELMS Officially Recognized as an Offshore Geophysical & Geotechnical Survey Player

Kuala Lumpur, 12 August 2026 – Helms Geomarine Sdn Bhd (HELMS) has achieved a significant milestone in its growth as an integrated offshore Geophysical and Geotechnical (“G&G”) survey services provider.

DNV has issued updated certifications for HELMS’ management systems under ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management, with all three certificates formally covering the “Provision of Offshore Geotechnical & Geophysical Survey Services.”

This recognition reflects the expansion of HELMS’ capabilities from an established offshore geotechnical specialist into a comprehensive G&G survey player, supported by internationally recognized quality, environmental, health and safety management systems.

Complementing this achievement, HELMS has secured a long-term contract with an established Malaysian upstream oil and gas operator for the Provision of Offshore Geophysical Survey, Geotechnical Soil Boring and Debris Removal Services.

The award represents HELMS’ first integrated G&G contract and brings together offshore geophysical survey, geotechnical soil investigation and debris removal services under a single contract.

Together, these milestones strengthen HELMS’ position as a Malaysian offshore survey services provider capable of delivering safe, reliable and technically coordinated geophysical and geotechnical solutions.
