HELMS Completes Geophysical Site Survey for RAJA Cluster Offshore Terengganu

Kemaman, 12 October 2026 – Helms Geomarine Sdn Bhd (HELMS) has successfully completed offshore geophysical site survey operations for the RAJA Cluster development offshore Terengganu, marking another milestone in the company’s growing offshore geophysical survey track record.

The campaign involved digital and analogue seismic data acquisition to support the client’s offshore development planning.

The completion demonstrates HELMS’ capability to mobilise survey equipment, coordinate marine and offshore survey operations, and acquire data to support engineering and development requirements. It also reinforces the company’s ability to deliver complementary geophysical and geotechnical services through an integrated offshore survey approach.

Operations were carried out using EGM 209, a Malaysian-flagged, 54-metre survey vessel with accommodation for 48 personnel. Following the completion of offshore acquisition, the vessel is transitioning to offshore support duties for its next assignments. Meanwhile, data processing and reporting continue at HELMS’ data centre in Kuala Lumpur to support the client’s engineering and development planning.

Building on this progress, HELMS is preparing for an offshore geotechnical campaign in November 2026, followed by a further geophysical campaign in early Q1 2027 for the same client. These upcoming assignments will build on the experience gained during this campaign and further strengthen coordination across the company’s marine, survey, engineering and data processing teams.
